By Waterbus: Get off at St. Marco Vallaresso stop, turn right, cross over a small bridge and after a few meters you’ll find the Royal Gardens on your left. If you get off at St. Zaccaria waterbus stop, turn left and walk along the waterfront until you find the gardens on your right.
From St. Mark’s Square: Facing St. Mark’s Basilica, turn right and walk to the waterfront. Go past the two giant columns and turn right. Walk along the waterfront full of street souvenirs vendors (approximately 200 meters), the Royal Gardens is on your right.
Your guide will be waiting for you at the entrance holding a sign with the name of the tour on it.
Restrictions
- Children 4 years old and below are free of charge for the walking tour only. The additional fee for a gondola ride (child booster seat) is required.
- This activity is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, please indicate upon booking whether you need wheelchair assistance so the tour will take alternative routes.
- The sightseeing tour requires a minimum of 8 participants to operate. There is also a limit of 25 participants per tour.
- The gondolas seat a maximum of 6 people. Large groups may be seated in different gondolas.
Additional Notes
- Walking tour and gondola ride may be taken on the same day or different days. Please indicate your preferred dates per activity upon booking.
- St. Mark’s Basilica may be closed due to high water or religious ceremonies. In case of high water, the skip-the-line access may not be accepted as all guests have only 1 door open to get in the church.
- Please note that children who occupy a seat will be charged with the adult rate.
- Please note that the guaranteed skip-the-line entrance to St. Mark's Basilica is available from April to October only. St. Mark’s Basilica does not offer a fast entry service during off-peak season.
